Send, track, and manage signing requests.
Envelopes#
Envelopes are individual signing requests. They represent a specific instance of a workflow sent to real recipients.
Creating an Envelope#
- Navigate to your project's Envelopes tab
- Click New Envelope
- Select a workflow
- Fill in recipient details (name, email)
- Fill in any workflow variables
- Review and send
Envelope Lifecycle#
Every envelope moves through a defined lifecycle:
Created → Sent → Viewed → Signed → Completed

Status Tracking#

Audit Trail#
Every envelope maintains a complete audit trail recording:
- When emails were sent
- When documents were viewed
- When signatures were applied
- IP addresses and timestamps
- Any declines or voids
Downloading Completed Documents#
Once all parties have signed, download the completed document with embedded digital signatures from the envelope detail page.
